IRELANDS BEST CITY HOTEL 2016?

The Absolute Hotel has been nominated for two top hospitality awards. It is in line to receive two Keelings Farm Fresh Gold Medal Awards. Now in the 28 th year, the Gold Medal Awards are recognized as one of the leading independent awards for the Irish Hospitality Industry. Presented by Hotel and Catering Review, the awards acknowledge excellence in hospitality. The Absolute Hotel has been short listed for two categories: Ireland’s City Hotel of the year (Public Vote) and Ireland’s Business Hotel of the year (Judges Selection). The Absolute Hotel are calling on the people of Limerick to back them in the online vote to become Ireland’s City Hotel of the year. The Public vote is open from the 24 th August and the closing date is 4 th September.  We'd be  eternally grateful if you could vote for us as it a public vote and as a small hotel we need all the help we can. LIMERICK you’re a lady!

If you are visiting Limerick this week what better way to get to know the city than to take part in National Heritage week.  From the 20 th August to 28 th August, events are been organised through - out the city and surrounding county to celebrate what makes Limerick unique.  Offering a diverse range of activities allowing the participant to be active, imaginative or taking the opportunity to appreciate Limerick’s long history. ACTIVITIES:  Only minutes’ walk from the Absolute Hotel Limerick you can visit exhibitions in Bishop’s Palace, the Hunt Museum and Merchant’s quay.  For the more daring you can jump on a boat and sail the river Shannon and see Limerick from a truly unique perspective.  The boat will leave from the Hunt Museum which is a mere 5 minutes’ walk from the Absolute Hotel Limerick. IMELDA MAY TO ROCK KING JOHN’S CASTLE IN LIMERICK!!

On the 13 th August Imelda May will take the stage in one of Limerick’s most iconic locations – King John’s Castle.  Imelda May will be the second act to play King John’s Castle after The Coronas played to a sold out audience at the end of April.
