Father's Day Limerick 2019
This year the Absolute Hotel’s annual Father’s Day competition posed the question ‘Who is the coolest Dad in Town?’ The response was overwhelming with many heart-warming and funny stories in the mix. However, a gem was unearthed with Limerick man Pat Aherne. Pat was nominated by his daughter Roisin Aherne. Roisin depicted a man who she described as ‘one in a million’ and not ‘your typical Irish Dad’. An everyday routine of getting ready for school, doing his daughters hair, baking, cooking, gardening and offering fashion advice was all taken in his stride. Roisin’s final words were, ‘He's worked so hard all his life and is still working so I think he deserves some TLC’, and the team at the Absolute Hotel Limerick agreed. Pat Aherne is pictured with Michelle Normoyle receiving his prize: dinner for two in Harry’s on the River Restaurant and an 85-minute pampering session in Vanilla Browns.
